Strukton rail is looking for a Project Controller

  • Full-time, Part-time
  • HBO

What are you going to do?

As a project controller, you will be responsible for the financial management and control of various projects within our organization. You play a crucial role in monitoring the financial health of projects by performing analyses, preparing reports, and advising project managers and the management team. Together with the contract manager, you are the co-pilot for the project manager. Together, you lead the project and ensure its successful execution. You will work on a mix of small and larger projects, making your days varied.

Strukton is in an exciting phase of change and is looking for the right people to shape the change agenda. Part of this is expanding the project control function to optimally manage projects and take project control to the next level. If you have ideas on how project control should be structured and how processes, technology, and data come together, this is the perfect opportunity. In addition to regular project control responsibilities, there will be plenty of room to initiate and tackle improvement projects. The role has a strong stakeholder management component with project leads and local management.

  • You are responsible for managing the administrative organization (financial, economic, and administrative systems) to ensure that processes run effectively, efficiently, and consistently within the project.
  • You act as a sparring partner for the person ultimately responsible for the project and provide both solicited and unsolicited advice to stakeholders at a strategic level. You contribute from a financial perspective to the policy that is pursued.
  • You are responsible for preparing and maintaining reports, forecasts, and (risk) analyses in a timely, complete, and reliable manner.
  • You monitor the project's progress and the development of risks, and initiate control measures as needed.
  • You contribute to improving financial processes and procedures within the project and the organization.
  • You collaborate well with different stakeholders within the organization, but if necessary, you stand firm in your position.
  • You are responsible for monitoring cash flows and preparing liquidity forecasts for managing the project’s cash flow.

What do we ask?

You are someone who enjoys variety because no two days are the same! You can act quickly, stay alert, and be action-oriented. We are looking for a real team player, but in this role, it is also important that you can work independently and proactively. Additionally, you are assertive and eager to develop further. Furthermore:

  • You have a completed HBO or WO degree in business economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar (financial) role, preferably within project management or project control.
  • You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • You have experience with the use of ERP systems and Excel.
  • You have good communication skills.

What do we offer?

We offer excellent employment conditions, with a salary range from €4,946.09 to €7,065.84 depending on your background and experience. Enjoy a pension scheme with employer contribution and a generous holiday allowance of 43 days per year. Benefit from participating in a collective health insurance scheme and explore perks in our employee benefits store. In this role, you will work both on project sites and at one of our offices. Remote workdays are negotiable, and for travel to various locations, you will have access to a company car.
