Production Manager Slaughterhouse

What are you going to do?

You will be responsible for leading the daily operations and, together with your team, ensuring optimal performance in animal welfare, safety, teamwork, quality, and efficiency. You will continuously work on improvements.

You will manage 5 shift and department managers, each responsible for a part of the operation. You will closely collaborate with the QESH department, the technical services, HR, and IT, and have regular contact with the NVWA/KDS and other external organizations.

What do we ask?

• HBO/academic level of thinking and experience in the food sector.
• Leadership (coaching) skills and strong communication abilities.
• Experience with continuous improvement/lean management.
• You identify with the following competencies: accurate, stress-resistant, responsible, and result-oriented.
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English; an additional language is a plus.
• Experience in the pig slaughtering sector would be great, but it is not essential. However, affinity with working with people, technology, and the agricultural/food sector is necessary.

Within the slaughterhouse, approximately 300 employees work from the supply chain through to the cooling of the carcasses, divided into 2 shifts.
